If your Permanent Residence Card has been lost, stolen or destroyed, you can apply for a replacement card to be issued to you. The application process for replacing your PR Card is less intrusive than the initial application with just a few details needed, including any absences from the UK and proof of continued residence.
If your Card was lost or stolen, you will also need details of the loss or theft occurring, including the crime reference number if applicable.
It is important to know that this application can only be completed inside of the UK. If your Card has been lost, stolen or damaged outside of the UK, you will need to apply for an EEA family permit and then reapply for your Permanent Residence Card once you have returned to the UK.
